leaking shocks

ok i have stock rear shocks on my rx8 that are leaking a bit. is it ok to use lowering springs on them. wanting to lower my car before import alliance. gonna go coilovers just wondering if it is ok to run them for now.

Sure isn't going to make them better

Why don't you try and find someone with a set of stock ones lying around to swap in if you are going to all the trouble to put in springs....

Leaking shocks need to be replaced.

yep, they're toast, lowering springs mean imminent failure i.e. doing all that work all over again
