Time for a rebuild...

After experiencing an extreme loss of power on the interstate, coupled with horrible metal grinding noises, I've come to the conclusion that my catalytic converter is clogged, and my engine has completely lost compression. Unfortunately my poor RX-8 is totaled. Seeing as repairing the car will be cheaper than buying another one however, I have decided to fix her.

Here are my compression numbers if you're interested, thought I'd share my sad news.

Rotor 1: 5.2, 5.3, 5.6 @250rpm
Rotor 2: 4.8, 5.3, 5.8 @250rpm

Sad sad day. Those are very horribly low numbers

I made it to 88400 before the engine was just too bad to drive. Getting it rebuilt hopefully in the next two weeks or so.
