Ground? confused.

The fact that it seems like it should have a cap over the end suggests it's a positive power line, and not a ground. The only two big connectors like that are the positive battery cable and the power cable for the starter if I recall correctly.
If you have the battery one, see if it reaches down to the starter and seems to fit well against where the positive cable bolts to the side of the starter.

There is a ground in it. i forgot to pull it out. and yeah it leads straight to the starter i just can't seem to see where it goes. the ground doesn't fit the bolt sticking out of it.

The ground is just a little eyelet. The power to the starter has a plastic cover (to prevent inadvertent shorts, or easy hot wiring) and the solenoid connector is a plastic covered spade connector. I can't think of anything else on that bundle offhand, I think the oil level sensor comes from the top with the oil pressure sensor, but I might be wrong.
