noisy as hell
i cant drive with the windows down at anything near highway speed as its unbelievably noisy. the aero and acoustics in this car suck. i enjoy driving with the windows down but i cant hear a damn thing. my spyder convertible was so much quieter even with the damn top down.

The reason I ask is because I regularly drive 55 to 75 MPH
with my windows wide open and in my particular case,
it's one of the quietest vehicles I've ever driven.
I can listen to my radio and don't have to set the volume over 6.
I'm running the stock air box and exhaust... Perhaps this is why my 8
is so quiet.... Then again I'm old and perhaps my hearing isn't as
accurate as your's...
My other vehicle is a GMC CrewCab and I can't get over 30 MPH without rolling
my windows up! Its about as aerodynamic as a brick!!! It makes a lot
of wind noise.

When driving long distances with the windows down, I use foam earplugs which tones down the noise nicely. It's a hassle, but will pay dividends as you age and retain your high frequency hearing.

This car's aerodynamics are very nice.
The wind flows off the car, when the windows are down, it doesn't rush into the car and blow around the rear passengers like my Mustang convertible does.
I roll up my windows around 75 mph though.

I think the wind noise is a bit excessive at speeds > 70mph. I found that opening the rear "opera" windows helps. They help create a cleaner airflow in the front and out the back. Don't forget to "lock" the windows open.
