My 2004 RX8 Plays CDRW Disk in the factory Cd Player
My Fellow Rx8 Owners, Let me introduce myself. My name Is Dan and I'm proud owner of a 2004 Sunlight Silver RX8. I've had the car for about a Month now and I'm very happy with. Now I join up Rx8club.com about a month ago to read what other rx8 owners have to say and I gain alot of info from this site. Now It is my turn to return the favor. just a few days ago I post on a thread that my Cd player can play CDRW disk but it does not play Cd-R disk. I know thats hard to Believe so I went ahead and upload a Video on youtube.com showing my Discovery.

Welcome! I'm a newcomer myself actually. Proud owner of a 2007 Galaxy Grey Touring.
Just to build on this, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that my 6 CD changer also plays CD-RW disks.

I just Hope That I was able to Give some ease to my fellow RX8 owners who have suffered this problem since most of us Don't have the MP3/CD player. I. For one was not going to settle with a FM Transmitter(Horrible thing for the RX8).

FWIW my 2006 Shinka plays every media i can throw at it.... CD, CDR, CDRW.. i thought this was standard?? its almost HARD to find a cd player these days that wont play burnt discs

Very True that Almost every Cd player that comes with a car can play CD-R but I guess Mazda Forgot to do it in the RX8 as a Standard. Since you have the Shinka Edition(Kudos for you!!!) You get all the goodies as a Standard.
