Pre 09 OEM gauge cluster mod???
I believe this tropic has not been discuss here before.
Have anyone try the following?
First mod: self swing.
I pull the room fuse out often when I am installing extra gauges.
I notice OEM gauge cluster does self swing every time I turn the key after pulled the fuse out and put it back.
I think that cutting power to gauge make it does the recalibration by performing self swing. However, you will lost trip counter. (well I don't care much)
Any how to cut the gauge power after the key is out?
Pulling room fuse out is not a good idea since you will loose all cabin light and the clock will reset.
Second mod: color changing gauge face
If driving with windows down, sometime I can't hear the red line beep.
This vid is exactly what I am looking for.

(actually, it would be great if tach turn to yellow at 6500 rpm and red at 7500 )
I'm e-mailing LEDmod.com for more info.
Anyone interesting?
Thanks,
Tony

That's kinda interesting.. If the whole cluster went red on redline or changed color
I mean if you dim the interior lights to begin with and turn on fogs or headlights the gauges go red anyway

Is it swappable or it required circuit soldering?
Thanks,
Tony
