R3 spoiler on a 2005

I was in a dealer looking at an R3 the other day when I noticed the spoiler on the R3 isn't just curved like the spoiler on the 04-08 models - it's just slightly squared off by the sides to make it look less rounded.

Does anyone know

1) will that spoiler fit/use the same mounting holes as the 04-08 spoiler?
2) are all the 09 spoilers that way or is this just the R3 version?
3) Does anyone make a replica?

I really like the look of the squared version - I've always thought the current spoiler makes the rear end look sort of round from the back - I'd love to put that spoiler on my 2005...

Only the R3 has the raised spoiler, the Manual GTs(and maybe touring but not sure) have a lip spoiler and the Autos don't have anything. I would think that it should fit on the pre 09s because I believe it just attaches to the trunk lid and I think that is the same on both series. Not sure how it will look and also don't know of any replicas but you can get the real deal through the dealership or japanparts(I think)

You would have to take measurements on the R3 spoiler and on your 05 trunk to see first if the mounting brackets will line up with the truck well enough so that the spoiler doesn't look odd on your car. Then you have to measure to see if the mounting holes on the R3 spoiler will line up with the preexisting mounting holes on your trunk. If not, you would have to drill new holes; as well as fill in and repaint your stock holes.
