I've always wondered why it pairs to the car and that's been the one thing that has led me to not want to get an accessPort, instead I'll be pursuing a bit more powerful tool that utilizes a USB to OBD2 adapter and some nice software.

Reviving an old thread, but i got my cobb and it wasn't uninstalled from the previous car. I was able to plug it in my computer and uninstall it from there. Not sure this will work for others but worth a shot in case this happens to someone else.

You have to send it to Cobb, they charge $350.00.

Just decided to try it again and it uninstalls by just connecting the cobb to my comp just having it powered up and clicking the uninstall. Like i said before though maybe it's just a glitch in mine but worth a try in case it happens to someone else.

Were you able to connect it to your car and use it?
