You would have to add one of the specified wideband sensors because it's not setup to use the front Rx8 O2, only the rear narrowband as you noted
It seems that they recommend MAP for boosted applications though. It was discussed on the forum, but now I recall that they were specifically discussing it for an NA application. Let me double check.

With the narrow band you basically end up with a fixed open loop system with any kind of load applied.
I wouldn't advise it. It is useful as a second reference though at cruise.

With arbitrary spacing on the fuel table I guess you could use the maf reference voltage, assuming it is even available as an input.
But again why?

Just a heads up to all the adaptronic guys. If you are using any multifunction O2 gauge from innovate it will not work as intended and you will have to wire in the analog 02 output rather than using the serial connection. Adaptronic is now aware of the problem and will implement it in the fourthcoming update.

I don't suppose anyone's figured out how to wire in the stock wheel speed senors and boost solenoid leads for boost by gear would they? All the pictures I've seen online of this ecu don't have inputs for solenoid control/wheel speed sensors (unless selecting the factory ones in WARI will work). The only inputs I've seen is the single "serial in" port.
Same goes for aftermarket wideband. Serial only it seems.
*EDIT:JK nevermind. Downloaded WARI and found some help files. I can read. I promise.*

Hey Shelldude (or anyone else), when you installed the adaptronic, did you ever have issues where it would idle for three seconds and then die? I'm having a wee bit of trouble getting mine up and running.

Function + Form
NA Adaptronic gains.
I have an NA Rx8. mods listed in signature. What are some realistic power gains I would be looking at if I got adaptronics and a really good tune. 10-20hp? Maybe?
#219
What ever power gains you get, are probably not worth the price tag of an adaptronic. For NA, the Cobb is more than plenty for tuning capability. Both will do exactly the same thing, it's just up to you what you want.

please don't try to use an Adaptronic with the hope of gaining a couple HP. It would be like trying to take out a fly with a gatling gun.
You'll never hit the fly and leave one helluva mess.

I've just bought a Greddy turbo (see here) with an [Adaptronic] RX8 Series 1 V10 built June 2012. I was looking forward to learning about it and reading the threads here in good time, but I now find I have to get up to speed a lot quicker. The EMC light came on with codes P0410 (Air System problem) & P2097 (target air/fuel feedback system too lean), and the power steering failed then sorted itself out without throwing a fault code.
I also want to investigate what O2 sensor is fitted (I already have a wideband sensor and gauge if needed), if I can get any output to a tablet such as a Nexus and if this Adaptronic can be used for a 13B REW conversion.
I'm busy until the weekend, so forgive me if the answers are already in this thread somewhere.

Thanks.
I see them more as issues rather than questions, primarily as I want to do my homework rather than lazily ask questions now (I hate it when I spend time reading a question that has been answered countless times before, and I don't want to abuse the goodwill of people here). If I had to phrase them as questions they would be as follows: why have the fault codes appeared - faults or feature of conversion? why has the Adaptronic not blocked them? what do i do about them? Can this unit be linked to a tablet eg to get gauges, can it be used in an REW conversion, how do I add a wideband O2 sensor if it doesn't have one already, and how do I do these (having looked in the past, I know the answers or where to get the info for the current Adaptronic units, but not for this older unit)?
I hope to have an hour or so today to trace the wiring on the gauges and will do the power steering connectors at the same time. I've changed a rack before so I know where the connectors are; I suspect the previous owner's removing the wheel well splash guards has allowed crud onto the rack connectors.

I can't speak on the issues for the conversion, but, you can wire in an aftermarket gauge to the ecu via serial or analogue inputs. Personally, I don't know where to wire it in for analog. And I haven't gotten my AEM UEGO to work correctly with serial either. So I'm waiting on getting an Innovate unit.
In terms of physically installing an aftermarket sensor, you can remove an existing O2 sensor and add your new sensor and wiring. Or you can drill into the exhaust and weld in an extra bung for your extra O2 sensor.
