i continued this forum because i wasnt sure if people would be reading posts on the last pages. I was looking on ebay and i noticed that the retractable key can be bought on ebay for 50 bucks for those who dont want to spend hundreds of dollars on a key. I have an 04 RX* and im not sure if this is the same key and if it would work on mine, if anyone has the key and an 04 and its the same key as the one advertised on at this link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2005-...spagenameZWDVW

I have a Mazda RX8 2004 04 plate, the key fob stopped working so i took it to my nearest dealer, they tested it and said it was faulty and i needed a new one, i have bought 1 and was wondering if i need to take it back to the dealer to get them to program it or if there is anything i can do myself, i only have one ignition key and only HAD one key fob, any help/info would be great, i have tried the method in the threads on here but never seems to have worked.
