RE High Flow Cat & Hymee
Just installed the high flow super cat. Much like Nemesis, my first response is
"Oh Sh*t!" Second response is "damn that's loud!" Okay, I digress, it's only really loud during hard accelleration. The butt dyno registers noticible improvements I didn't really notice with just my intake and catback. Putting the midpipe in seems to pull it all together. The downside is that I am noticing an annoying kind of reverberation sound in the 3K-5K range primarily in 1st and 2nd gears. I'm gonna crawl under and make sure everything is torqued down good and take off the exhaust finishers in the off chance they might be rattling. I'll try and get sound or an mpeg later but for now, just pics.

When I installed my B&B midpipe I had a rattle.I looked under and found that the mounting bracket was rubbing or banging on the rear cross member peace.I took the peace off and wrapped it with leather then used aluminum tape to hold it all together. No rattle now.

I am in the process of saving for this high flow cat as well. Hopefully beat Takahashi to it. :D Don't want Taka being the only one turning up to meets with new toys to show :p
Did you weld the hangar (if that is what you call it) from the OEM Cat to the new one or is the rest of the system just supporting the new Cat's weight. Because if you have not attached it using the stock mounting point maybe this could be contributing to the rattle/vibration. I know the manufacturer says it's light enough that you do not need it, but I never really trust what any of them have to say most of the time!

No, I opted to go without the hangar. There seems sufficient enough support points front to rear that leaving this one off appears fine.
Source of "reverb" noise has been identified. At the " Y " junction from the cans where it bolts to the pipe, the bolts were loose causing a vibration. Once I tightened it all up, the noise is greatly diminished. Now it just sounds mean :D .
