It's 20 dollars to ship it to my house, or you can pick it up at their shop, free of charge. which is only about 15 minutes away from where i live so 406.64 is the final price!

Every manufacturer has a MAP policy it is whether the distributor stocks it on hand, dropship and so on. I have found very few suppliers that are willing to stock RX-8 parts, even those that are the big players don't want to.
We always try our best stocking it on hand and going from there, but then there is too much overhead in the equation for a profit that just isnt worth it.
If you like I can beat all the advertised prices shipped of course.

Ya know, Brice, I was going to mention your $465 price (based on the same feeling regarding our "family" here on the 8Club) but I wasn't sure if that included shipping and I didn't want to speak out of line regarding your pricing.
BTW, your price on Borla (last I checked) is the best I have found yet.

Trying to be a stocking distributor isnt easy at all, I figured it out I would need close to 3 Million dollars or something crazy like that for stocking 100% of what I have to offer and within proportion of sales trends to maintain stock as well.
No way that is going to happen in this economy..lol

I applaud your aggressive attempts at growth but I have decided for myself that I am not in too much of a hurry to raise my own overhead, at the same time, and for the reasons you cite.
Further, the fundamentals of the manufacturing/shipping sectors have changed.
Further, the fundamentals of the manufacturing/shipping sectors have changed.
People don't understand the ramifications when not following MAP, it is there to protect the customers and supporting distributors, when that breaks down bad things happen.
Like long delays for shipping, the product isn't even in stock with the manufacturer and it takes 3-4 months to get something simple.
All becasue the customer wanted to pay the least amount of money as possible.
I am all for it, but there needs to be a strict limit, I have seen way too many businesses fall of the map because they have too much overhead and competitors were shattering their profit margins.
I have talked with lots of manufacturers, they applaud my efforts as well and are impressed with my volume numbers but I see more products disappearing for the RX-8 in the coming months.
Greddy is going to be the next to fall off IMO, most of lines are out of stock constantly and are discontinued at a moments notice. They keep doing blow outs of everything with no warning. It is rather silly when you get an email for an order saying the a Strut Bar is Special Order and will take 4-6 weeks for delivery.
This should be an interesting year for the aftermarket performance parts industry.
