8k to spend on car.

what the hell should i do? what should i be aware of? im really new to the rotory scene and i am aiming to do something a bit nuts with the money so.. go ahead and enlighten me. (turbo/supercharge/nitrous setup) i am really thinking nitrous would be the cleanest thing for me to do

So ur saying u have 8k to dump into car?
If thats the case my list would look something like this.
1.See canzoomer for his stage 2 or even 3 setup he has working for ecu and ignition
2.Exhuast with free flow cat
3.Once those are done after about 5000 miles throw on a small shot of spray and save the other 4k for FI setup prolly hitting by spring.
4If u have any left some suspension work maybe but im happy with the stock
My 2 cents

Don't you go around corners? Nitrous is for drag racing in straight lines; turbo- and super-chargers add useful, controllable power in corners, twisty roads, and tracks too!

The very best investment to make your current car faster, as well as every car you ever drive from there on? A good driving school - Skip Barber, Bob Bondurant, etc. They make you faster and safer too.

Regards,
Gordon

that is true, mike b. i think most people would rather not think about that fact that after buying just some plastic ground effects and some different wheels you can be $8,000 dollars poorer then you were before those parts.

this has also made me realize most aftermarket parts for the rx-8 are currently too expensive to even think about.

You can go to you local tuning shop and ask them to make you supercharger or turbo for RX8. I think they could make custom SC or TC for like $5000-$6000. For about $500 I would get custom made demon eyes for RX8 (At night, RX8 would look like a wild cat. GRRRRRR tiger.), and for rest of $1500, probably save it for insurance, gas, etc.

$8,000?

(3) Hookers - one for each seat.
(150) Gallons of gas
(1) Map to Vegas

Money gone and my RX-8 is still under warranty.

That's over $2500 per *****! I need to hook you up with a better pimp.

I'd go with just two hookers, the gas and forget the map.
After I woke up from the drunken haze I'd still have $4k in the bank and the warrantee. :p
Better Scotch-Guard the seats, though...

I second that.
Driving school, 17" 'beater' rims with Kumho or Hoosier race tires, brake pads, helmet, and as many track days that's left over with your money.

I need to stop reading car forums, I read Hookers and thought to myself why would this guy want 3 headers, and why would he put them on his seats, and what does that have to do with a trip to Vegas :p <heads off to look at some **** on the net>
