Thanks salt truck

in traffic this morning, everyones slowing down, i get stuck behind a salt truck and big rig to left and behind, and wouldn't ya know salt driver decides hey imma start salting. well $7900 later and small nics and chips almost everywhere, gotta get car repainted.

bright side may have 2 hid r3 headlamps for sale (with some nicks of course,) both oil coolers and all black plastic on front sigh.

I guess you won't follow the salt trucks as close anymore.

Huh?

did the truck dump the entire load of salt on top of your car or what!

Damn, that's a steep estimate. Insurance wouldn't cover that?

well i wasnt following him, it was starting to snow and traffic had started slowing up and thats where i got stuck, and blocked in.

and we were all driving like this for a few miles and he just randomly turned in on. and i had no where to go just slowly slowed down so i didnt get mowed over by the truck following me

and yes insurance is going to cover it thats my insurance estimate so at least im not boned but my god it is infuryating

actually thats wrong. and just realised my camera is set wrong, and reason i have an estimate and claim already is i am the insurance appraiser. so i made myself a priority =/.

wish i didnt have to fix my baby, but also lights and oil coolers are expensive which jacks up the price, lamps are $1,100 eash and oil coolers are $800 each thats 4k right there almost.

Ah

Guess there is a good side benefit to being your own appraiser. We completely understand the cost of repairs though. It's usually a shock to people that aren't expecting it.

WOW....i'm surprised the company actually allowed you to appraise your own car...seems like it would be a professional conflict or something

Definitely a good idea. Wish the original owner of my car had put those screens in before I had to do it. Already a decent amount of damage I can't exactly fix on those fins.
