Which Services at the dealerships?

I've had my 8 for about 2 and a half years and its odometer reads 23500 miles.
I was just wondering which services at the dealerships are necessary or strongly recommended. For example, the 20,000 mile service is recommended because blah blah...
I've searched and found little information actually posted. Maybe it's just a common sense that I just don't know...
If you guys could answer my question or post links to threads that answer my question, it would be much appreciated. Thanks for the help.

You dont "need" to have any service done at the dealership. As long as you change the fluids at the intervals put forth in the owners manual and have receipts to back it up you're fine.

If you take the car somewhere to have the oil changed, keep the receipts. If you do it yourself, keep the receipts for filter and oil purchases.

The only time you "need" to go to a dealership is when you want something fixes that you feel is covered under warranty.

Become familar with the maintenance schedule, and wherever you go specify what you want done. Both dealerships and non-dealer shops often have "xxxx mile" packages that contain a lot of money makers that are not needed.

The quality of the shop is more important than whether it's a dealer or not.

Sorry to bring this back up again, but which specific services should I ask from them? I've searched and found that around 20K miles you should replace the spark plugs and coils? If I remember correctly...

If any of you can list the services that are recommended for the maintenance for an 8 with about 24K miles, it would be great.

Like ken-x8 said, I don't want to have to pay money for unnecessary services that are not really required... But I do want to keep my car in the best possible condition.

For you information, my car is a 2006 6MT with Sports Package with about 24,000 miles on the odometer. Thank you in advance.

There's a maintenance chart in your owner's manual. Follow schedule 2, but change engine oil and filter at 3000 mile intervals rather than the 5K (I think) in the chart.
