Been on here for a while as some of you know. You may also know about my Car crash in November last year that killed my MX-3.

Well after a while of searching and looking I finally found an RX-8 locally that was just right.

It is a 2005, Galaxy Gray, 6-speed manual, with about 80k on the car. It has the Bose 6-disc system and rear spoiler, but has cloth interior. No sunroof or popup nav, but those are things I can live without (my phone is an excellent navigation system and I heard the sunroof shortens the interior so yeah i can live w/out it).

The car was owned by a knowledgeable guy, and all TSB's were addressed. Latest flash was done, and engine shows great compression (it's still the original engine btw). There is also no rust, and I can tell this car was not winter driven.

Got a few ideas up of what I want to do, but the first thing I'll do is check the plugs. Probably are good seeing as how he was with maintenance but I might just get a set of plugs/coils/wires off Mazmart just to be on the safe side.

Just doing a bit of searching too trying to figure things out!

But yup! Finally an RX-8 owner haha!



Just as a note, though: The engine bay covers... where is the best place to get 'em if I wanted them?

The best place to get one is here, many have them laying around. I have three, if you pay shipping you can have one of them. Bose in a Sport? Are you sure?

I'll get back to you on the cover. Might take you up on that offer. And what do you mean by "bose is a sport?" Maybe I'm confused but.. aren't the 6-disc stereos Bose only? I didn't look in the trunk for the amp yet but just assumed that since it had 6-Disc CD player, it had Bose...

Sorry I meant, "Bose in a sport?" The 6 disc can be added, a lot of people do. But I don't believe the Bose was available in the Sport. The spoiler was an option. You shouldn't but do you have traction control/DCS?

As for the Bose question... Take a look at the speaker grills, do they say "Bose"?

Thanks for the link! I read it a while back but was good to read again. Overall a few things I didn't ask about like the starter but it starts up fine for me... So I mean I feel like I made a good purchase.

Ok so you were right. It's 6-disc, but non bose. Which is probably better considering I have a sound system I could slap into this car.
