Just bought RX8

Hello and first of apologies. Been a lot to get used to with this car especially fuel and oil consumption!

Currently used as my day to day drive to work 60 miles round trip. Very fun to drive.

I have read about flooding etc but the one small problem I have with the car is the cigarette lighter. I'm convinced the fuse has blown ? Most forums I read point to kickpanel on drivers side?

The car is a 231 2003 automatic (tiptronic). It has had fsh with Mazda had coil pack replaced and is mint in and out with 37k on clock.

Is the cigarette lighter fuse in the same place I tried taking the kick panel off? But there was no diagram to tell me what is what behind there. I need this to charge my iPhone and work my Bluetooth thing so need to fix it.

I don't have a manual or would have checked.

Thanks for the help. Also with regards to driving. Should the vehicle always be allowed to heat up off cold prior to driving or can you drive it an allow it to heat up on its own?

Daft question I know but I work as a a&e doctor and also as a basics doc (responding to serious rtcs etc) I'm going to get flashing lights an the gubbons fitted and use this as my rapid response vehicle however I don't fancy sitting still for 10 mins waiting on the car heating up while someone could lie in peril waiting on me.

Thanks

Michael

You don't have to wait 10 min before driving the car. 30 sec should be fine. Since you have an automatic, keep it in that mode and don't use the paddle shifters until it warms up.
This link will answer many questions and likely generate a few more.
