check engine light
I have had my 8 for about 3 weeks and it is been great until yesterday. My check engine light came on. I took it to the dealership and they hooked it up to a computer and fixed it in about hour. The told me that Mazda had a recall on that and thats why it happened, anyone else have that problem...

Welcome. There are dozens of threads on check engine lights. Please do a search before starting a thread. For example, try "CEL" or "check + engine + light" and I'm sure you'll find plenty of info on other people with the same problem.

Yes, I did about 4 months after I bought it. There are 2 recalls on the RX-8. It took them a week to fix mine and then me and the mechanic got into an argument and he refused me the keys to my car, and a rent a car. I had to walk 5 miles to get back home. Boy was i pissed!!!!
