Are you very tall? Anyway, i don't think you could lower it some more.
im 6'2" and i dont slouch in my car i sit up straight, only have an inch ish between my head and the headliner.
dont want my helmet to rub roof during auto x
rear view mirror almost completly blocks hood,
just too hi in my seat lol

Good luck with that.
I'm in the same boat. Basically you just have to do a crazy gangster lean with your seat and slouch a bit, and be ready for your head to bounce off the ceiling.
Short of a Bride LowMax system or custom fabrication, we really don't have many options to sit lower.

Do a little searching......there is a thread out there on how to lower the seats.

S1 seat mounts are different than an S2. I tried with the help of an S1 owner who did this mod. At least the power seat in the S2 has different mounts. Not sure about the Recaros.
I'm 6'1" and with the GT's sunroof, I feel my hair brushing on the liner. A couple more years I won't have that problem. When I test drove an R3, I felt I had a couple more inches of headroom without the sunroof being there. Probably not enough wearing a helmet though.

Yeah, the helmet is the kicker. I can set my R3 seat however I want with about 1" clearance from the roof (ie no head/hair rubbing on the seat), but the minute the helmet goes on that seat goes wayyy back.
It'd be fine if the steering column moved (like, oh I don't know, on EVERY other mazda )
1. Different make, model, and seat type
2. EVEN SO, you get less than an inch, which does about diddly.
3. I said, in the post right above yours, no less, that thread is worthless to this issue
