No, he wants to lower it so he can ride in his 8 like he's driving a '64 Impala.

Good luck with that.

I'm in the same boat. Basically you just have to do a crazy gangster lean with your seat and slouch a bit, and be ready for your head to bounce off the ceiling.

Short of a Bride LowMax system or custom fabrication, we really don't have many options to sit lower.

Please, enlighten us, because I can't find it either.

And please don't link to the "flip yo bracket and gain 16mm of clearance" thread.

This thread applies to S1 power seats. Not sure if will help you.
DIY: You CAN lower the power seat!

S1 seat mounts are different than an S2. I tried with the help of an S1 owner who did this mod. At least the power seat in the S2 has different mounts. Not sure about the Recaros.

I'm 6'1" and with the GT's sunroof, I feel my hair brushing on the liner. A couple more years I won't have that problem. When I test drove an R3, I felt I had a couple more inches of headroom without the sunroof being there. Probably not enough wearing a helmet though.

Yeah, the helmet is the kicker. I can set my R3 seat however I want with about 1" clearance from the roof (ie no head/hair rubbing on the seat), but the minute the helmet goes on that seat goes wayyy back.

It'd be fine if the steering column moved (like, oh I don't know, on EVERY other mazda )

Dur hurrrr, read much?

1. Different make, model, and seat type
2. EVEN SO, you get less than an inch, which does about diddly.
3. I said, in the post right above yours, no less, that thread is worthless to this issue
