Talking

OMG, are you serious? I did the Upper Gaully in WV. and that was enough for me. Have fun BTW and remember to kick those feet up when you are forced from the raft!

Any cost estimates? and which river? I'm running EXTREMELY low on funds right now but my girlfriend is dying to go because she's never been. I've been twice down the lower Ocoee but your talk of self-captaining and going backwards certainly has me interested.

$19-$26 if we go on Thursday. It's on the nantahala river. I've been on the ocoee before as well, and this is almost the exact same.

I remember we just drove down to the river and hit the first place we found on 19. Using google maps (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...7,0.15192&om=1) that means we went here: http://www.wildwaterrafting.com/nanrentals.html

whitewater rafting was ftw last year, especially since somehow i managed not to fall out! yeh im in again...and i also have gone down the ocoee (near nashville) its alright....just a little spoiler...the waterfall on the nantahala is totally overhyped.

Saturday's a pretty busy day, that's normally when we do our big cruise on the dragon-cherohala loop as a group..plus it's more expensive that on the weekend, and they may be booked up.

we went on thursday last year, and we had to do a self guided tour since there was no more room left on the bus

I did some whitewater rafting this summer in Colorado. It was down the Arkansas river. A blast.

Get to wear neat helmets to.

Everyone on my side fell out right after that picture. Wish they would have taken a pic of that.

Damn, that looks like fun. Any chance of moving that river and the mountains to Dallas?

That would take some work. Might be easier to take a trip there.
