Well, I'm a new convert to the Ridge. My first two times there I didn't like it. There were several turns that I couldn't quite figure out. On Tuesday, Cantrell Motorsports held a track day/ test and tune day. What a format! There was only one run group, so I had the track from 9-12 and then 1230-5. I put in 9 sessions, and I would of had a longer session at the end of the day because a GT3 blew a rod and they closed the track to make sure he didn't dump any oil, so we lost 20 minutes, but I did get 285 miles on the track
I figured out my problem spots, my biggest was T7, I was taught (at least from what I understood) to take the apex in the center of the track, so I ignored that and went all the way right, and man did that make everything smooth. I also finally figured out how to take the T1 and T2 combo, not that I got it right every time, but how fun that is, because I love 3,4, and 5. The Ridge has moved up on my list and I can't wait to get back out there!
I put down a 2:04.8, which is 3 seconds faster than my previous fast lap.
Another cool thing, a guy had a quad copter and was filming overhead video exiting 6 and turns 8a and 8b. I am waiting to hear from the guy to see the video. It looked like he was maybe 5'-10' above my car, so that should make for some pretty cool video.

Welcome to the dark side ;-)
The trick I found to 7 is making the line that keeps your car settled the most. There is a bump that you can take left or right.....I like right as well...and then deeper into 8a than some.....and basically on the gas from there to 11...it's a frightful run up that hill with 500HP....;-)
I hope to be at the Turn 2 event on Sept 12th...the car is almost done ...finally :-(

I'm glad your car is almost done, and 500hp would make that incredibly fast. I only get up to 96mph through there, and the braking there at that speed is tricky enough
When I would take T7 in the middle it left the car a bit unsettled because I would still need to put in a bit of right steering to stay on track under braking, but going all the way to the right allowed me to stay full thottle until it flattened out and then hard to the brakes in a straight line to the entrance of 8a.
The braking at T2 also became really fun. I took T1 about 3-7 mph faster (my fastest apex was 96mph ) and braking with a slight left turn while shifting made things interesting.
I'm sure you're braking for T1 at or before the 3 cone. I noticed the GT3s were braking around there. I would go to 1-1.5

Well **** been awhile since I've came over to 8club even to lurk. Working a ton, went to Isle of Man TT, paddleboarding or on the Ducati in this nice weather.
I finally after a few different combos of manifolds/turbo placements I finished welding up my own manifolds.
They are at the machine shop getting the flanges decked flat. Still waiting on my wheels to get shipped over night from Japan.
