Should I check hot or cold and conventional oil or synthetic?

owners manual details how to check oil level...
as far as oil - do a search, plenty of information on that topic

Hot or cold doesn't matter - just be consistent.

Dino or synthetics - your call. Depends primarily on how often you wanna be changing it.
