So how common are the 8's back in Minnesota. They are a dime a dozen on the island. The 3 local dealers usually are sold out before cars even arrive. However this is the only car i have owned that i truly love driving.

Jim
How big is Owatonna? I just recently worked with a guy from there. He commuted into the SW suburbs every day.

RMS = 200

AMP Spec:

50X4 watts RMS continuous power into 4 Ohms with less than .05% THD from
20-20 KHz.
100X4 Watts RMS continuous power into 2 Ohms with less than .10% THD from
20-20KHz

I got a quote from local body shop and custom paint shop to paint and install my kit for my 8. Right at about $1,100 for painting, installation, labor, and materials. That covers the front and rear bumper replacement, side skirts and spoiler.

that seems pretty good as long as that includes a perfect fitment even if that means them modifying the kit and a perfect paint job...as they could do a better job than the real MS kit because they can layer the paint properly to match the other body pieces

everything is more expensive in Hawaii I've heard

looking forward to pics

$1,100 plus 10% military discount. Yeah they agreed to trim and fit it perfectly.

Mount it in the sink part of the trunk and build a false wall with a fan to cool intake and exhaust the heat produced by pushing that massive inefficient Rockford heatsink.

Depends on if you want to totally drown out your Greddy

The datasheet on these subs is here: http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/libra...12_2812-ts.pdf

Manual is here: http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/libra...oofers-man.pdf

Truthfully one would be plenty, but then I used to have a 15" HiFonics Generation X DVC in my Neon. That system could hit 145db. Talk about overkill.

A person always has to be mindful of the Ohm rating because most general amplifiers can only handle down to two Ohms if a person installed three subs that were 4 Ohms they would definitely overdrive the amp and have it cutout and even cause damage to the amp.

Those XLCs come in 4 or 8 Ohm

Champa should be fine running both of them off his amp because it is actually an 8 Ohm that he has.

I installed LEDs last night.

Brake lights are just as bright as the stock bulbs.

Flashers are bright but don't reflect off the chrome as much as the stocks.

Did the load resistors for the flashers too.

I was referring to the amp but you may not want it showing. Stealth is king most of the time. I am going to get rid of the sink and install the amp under the false floor.

A box is the easiest unless you want to fabricate them into the corners. I would have but I golf.

You may have seen this before: http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/...TID=56902&PN=1
