Are there any good tuning shops in Houston? A mechanic I know suggested Carboy, it is somewhere off of Bissonnet and I hear they do some good work. But I also hear that they are expensive.

I was wondering if anyone knew a better place to tune my RX-8.

There is only one shop I mainly go for work done on my car & only one shop in Houston that would touch my car when it comes to tuning.

I'm just looking to do some some basic performance mods. Intake, Exhaust, ECU. Whatever is basic, stage one stuff. I don't know. Like I said, I don't really don't know much about tuning. Where should I start and where should I go?

Also, if there is place where i can get a body kit or something to make my car stand out, that would be great too.

Depends on how much you are willing to spend.

I have an intake/exhaust setup for sale right now plus a short shifter. In terms of body kit...you really gotta be willing to spend for good body kits or else they won't fit too well.

Thank you Sifu! I can't make it out to that meet since I'm out of town, but I will definitely plan to meet sometime soon. I really wan't to know the ins and outs of my car, so to speak. I want to learn as much as I can about the RX8.

By the way, you are right about body kits and such. I have seen some stuff out there that really doesn't look good.
