Finally saw the new Mustang GT

My neighbor bought a black 05 GT. Brought it over last night. I personally loved it. I could see where certain colors would make it look blah but this car was beautiful. I didn't think the interior was shoddy in the least. The leather looked great imo and I thought the interior controls were a mix between old school and modern. Negative, this car is already all over the road and they will be a dime a dozen but a gorgeous car and it sounded awesome when he got on it. Two thumbs up imo...

Eh, I'm not impressed with it unless it's decked out as the Steeda or Saleen version.

Unfortunately few will agree with you as they will be all over the highways.

Well if it's all over the road, who cares you know...if you love it that's what matters, but I get what you are saying.

I test drove it yesterday and I have to say that the engine sounds great, it handles better than you would expect, it rides pretty good for a Mustang, and it's turning radius (no one cares about this one...LOL) was impressive.

Interior is alot better but I saw the door panels and that is the one interior part that looked VERY cheap. The rear seats are tight, headroom is lacking, and your head is over the glass so if the sun is beating down...it will be on your head.

I still like it, but I worry about future babies getting cooked in the back seat.

I loved the sound of the V8 and that's it's main selling point. Oh yeah, I found another color that made it look good...but I still prefer black. Oh yeah one more time...

13.5 in the 1/4 mile IS IMPRESSIVE FOR a $25,000...the new bang for the buck KING!

Funny that the Mustang is so cheap over in the US...... last time they sold them here, they were approx $90K AUD whereas an 8 is $65K.

Mustangs are crap. I have to think twice about anyone who drives one.

I was pretty unimpressed with this car once I saw it in person (in the magazines they looked stunning). I must say one of the characters in NFSU 2 has a black one and it looks real nice in the game. I have yet to see a black one out there but the other colors so far haven't impressed me.

Some of the available colors are horrible. One of them is olive green. The only olives I want to see are in my martini.

Wait a year and the 05s will fall apart. Knowing what Ford does to these cars, I don't expect anything less. With that said, they will sell well, and you'll probably be seeing a lot of perky teenage girls driving them with the top down. That's when I activate my pimp hand.

I like the colors yellow, arizona beige, and black on the new mustang. But that's a lot better than the old mustangs, I still don't like the way they look. These cars are built for going fast in a straight line, but can be made into a really good track car, if you have the money. If you want good feel, don't get a mustang. If you want the best drag strip car for the money, you know where to look.

My last car was an 04 GT. I liked the car but found to many mods were needed to make it a real driver. Strainght line, no sweat. Corners....scary!! Anyway to respond to the 05. I'm on the fence. The show car prior to release of the production model looked awesome!! But as usual the production model for some reason does not turn me on. The nicest colour I have seen is black. I traded my Stang in for the 8, no looking back and I would not trade this car in for anything! Well maybe an M3!!

I kinda like the look of the new Mustang but whether I'd drive it ... that's a different question. I assume that the ride quality would be similar to the previous generation, right? I totally agree with some of the color choices being "questionable". Wonder if it comes in pink? heh heh.

I like the new mustang. it was actually my first choice for a while, I just got tired of waiting. test drove an 8 over the summer and ended up getting it, no regrets. still like the stang though, just not enough to worth taking a hit on trading in my 8

3rd world car

I ahte it. Cheap exterior trim -- fake rear gas cap, fake mesh grill. Lousy interior, materials and fit anf finish not up to 3rd wrold standrds.

Another embarassment for the US auto industry, particularly compared to 350Z and RX-8 fopr the same money...
