5 QT of Castrol Syntec + Mobil1 filter for 25.99 and Free Credit!!!!!!

I dont think I should put this into the For Sale section cuz Im not selling anything ...

and this *thread* applies to all Automobile owners so I think its ok to put it in General Automotive section ...

First off, if you're a Synthetic hater, skip this thread and move on.

For those who *dunno* about this deal, yep, here you go.

Autozone is doing a deal of 5 Quarts of Castrol Syntec and a Mobil1 Filter of your choice for 25.99 + tax !!!

I ran my *** off to 2 Autozone today,

First one thats closer to my home, all of the 5w30 were out already, they have only 3 quarts of 5w40, and I dont use 5w20. In the other words, They have the correct Size filter, M1-M108. but no oil. So I asked them when will they have it. The guy said he can *order* the oil and it will come the next business day, but Its already Friday night so even if I order it, I probably gotta wait till Tuesday. I asked them to check for other's store's stock and found one with couple quarts of 5w40 left ...

So I went to another Autozone ... damn I was afraid Im gonna get jumped ! that neighborhood is pretty bad .... anyway I rush my *** in and they have 5w40 left but M108 filter. So I got the M110 Filter instead and 5 quarts of 5w40 (cuz the rest of the 5w40 bottle is leaking !)

Usually they sell Castrol for about 6 something per quart. and the filter alone cost about 9-11 bux. This is a pretty good deal right ? ...

BUT THERE IS MORE !

IF you have their Autozone Rewards card, every 20 dollar of purchase will count as 1 credit, if you have 5 credits you WILL GET 20 DOLLARS STORE CREDIT TO SPEND!

The catch is, you HAVE to spend at LEAST 20 dollars everytime to get 1 credit. Dont even try to do the *oh I buy 5 bux this time and 15 the other*, nope, it doesnt work like that. AND the credit will *expire* in 6 months.

For me, Im gonna go find more oil early tomorrow, with Tax is about 28 bux. buy 4 of them I will get another 20 to spend for free .... (I got my 20 bux credit already ... Im gonna spend it tomorrow of course )

Remember, if the shop is *out* of oil, you can tell them to *special order* it for you and it will come in less than 1-2 business day.

I usually dont buy Castrol but for the price ... you just cant beat it They have 0w30(I should've got it, ahh tomorrow), 5w20, 5w30,5w40, 5w50 ... and so on.

Is this a great deal ? you tell me.

What are you waiting for ? go STOCK IT UP ! Remember to sign up for the Autozone reward card !!!!!! to get da Best deal outa this !

Below is the link to the flyer of Autozone, this deal is good for ALL AUTOZONE countrywide.
http://www.autozone.com/images/in_ou...g4_0207_08.pdf

Notice : You can only do it on your Rewards Card 2 per day. So just get your father or whatever to sign up for a few more cards. in a couple of days you'll save a lot of $$$

Nah, I dont shop at Autozone much, cuz their price + tax is usually higher or about the same as I go order it online. So why bother going there yourself ?

they change their *deal* every 2-4 weeks and they post them on their online site.

This one is really cool tho. I think I should let everyone know

Its more like a group III thing ...

but meh ... if I want group II stuff I could've gone to the other deal, which is Quaker state oil with STP filter for what 11.99 :O

Quaker State Advance Q has a deal of 10 dollar rebate if you buy 5. they're selling it at 5.99 per quart. for me is about 6.50 (tax included) x 5 = 32.50 - 10 dollar rebate 22.50. Its not a bad deal IMO. but Im lazy to send rebate checks

Get the 0W-30! That's German Castrol.. a true synthetic.. and probably the best one there is. If you look at the Bobistheoilguy forums (imported oil section), they're crazy about it.

I keep checking it everyday or so, cuz deals like this is hard to pass on.

u get some decent oil(not really true Synthetic tho) + a filter thats usually selling for 10 dollars or more, I think is pretty good deal.

IF u already have filter and dont mind to send rebates in, Quaker State Advance Q deal might be better for you, and its a *true* Synthetic.

Just so u guys know including the *Free credit* I use, I have probably 40 bottles of these *Syntec* and 8 Filters already

Hmmm you New York guys....so basically your paying $25 for an oil change........

well here in Texas I can get an auto shop to do a Royal Purple Oil change with filter for $28 ((Includes $10 online coupon and tax)) ...........good for you though =P

Or you could go to one of the shops around here like the quick lube and get a castrol syntec change for $15 ((with 5 dollar internet coupon))......doesn't come with filter though........

but yes anyways its all about the coupons

Ok... so I was reading what you guys said and I have a question..

I was told by two service managers at two different mazda service centers that I was NEVER to use synthetic oil on renesis rotary engines. They say it will damage your engine in a long term. Was it all BS? I even got looked at weird by one of the managers like I didn't know **** about these engines when I asked if I could put synthetic oil instead.

meh, they have been selling Castrol GTX for like 8 bux for quite some time. Castrol(BP)'s price has been pretty aggressive pricing lately.

IF u want to see *Cheap* go BJs and buy Shell's Full Synthetic Oil for about 15 bux after *online* rebates. b4 Rebate is like 19.99 I think. 6 Quarts.

They're Group IV oil I think.

I had 2 cases b4 (12 quarts) and used them all. Not bad IMO.
