Need some parts...
Hey guys,
Im taking my 8 in for an e-test, and hopefully a new motor from mazda, but before I do that I need two parts.
The first part is that little molded vacuum hose on top of the intake manifold, the "C" shaped one about 5 inches long. Its backordered from mazda, and I need to get my hands on one.
Secondly, if anyone has an old stock cat pipe I could borrow just for an e-test, I would be forever greatful.
Im located in oakville and waterloo, so if anyone can help me out, id be very greatful.
Thanks
-Bryan

Go to any auto parts store (eg. Canadian Tire) and buy some generic flexible vacume hose. If the shape is a tight radius bend, get a longer section and loop it larger. Whether something along those lines is a temporary or perminant solution is up to you. Zip tie it into place so that it doesn't flap around too much.
One thing that is very apparent on this forum is that many 8 owners are WAY to dependant on dealers. Mazda's parts network isn't the greatest or most efficient, so sometimes one has to take matters into their own hands.
