Any using Tanabe's GF's on stock shocks?

What do you think? I'm having a hell of a time choosing between the teins and tanabe's. Any opinion you have would be awesome, thank you.

Thumbs up

I just installed them this weekend...the least i can say is that they are GREAT! I too was contemplating either the Tein's or Tanabe GF210. What made me choose the Tanabe was the softer spring rate (which should be better for the stock shocks):

1) Tein S-Tech Spring Rates: 207/145 Drop: (f)1.4 (r)0.7
2) Tanabe GF210 Spring Rates: 179/146 Drop: (f)1.4 (r)1.2

The Tanabe's are somewhat similar to Racing Beat's spring rates who indicate are fine for the stock shocks (Tanabe's also have more drop ). Although i haven't fully tested the extreme handling out yet; I can tell that the vehicle does seem more responsive while retaining much of the stock comfortable ride...however on major potholes, dips, the the jarring indeed is more noticible. However those potholes also caused a lot of disturbance on the stock springs.

I had also read some posts that mentioned the drop looking awkward. I was also happy to find out that after following the instructions about lowering the vehicle first to preload the springs, the drop looks fine in the front compared to the back.

Sorry i don't have any pix right now, i was actually going to start a new thread about my install ordeal and wait till after the springs have a chance to settle (maybe in a week?).

Let me know if you have further questions!
Edgardo

BTW, i purchased them from http://www.dpeweb.com/ who is also a forum vendor. DPE totally had the most excellent customer service that i have experienced when purchasing products for my FD or RX-8. He was there to answer phone calls off hours (even on a Sunday) and promptly replied to all questions in e-mails. Thanks.
