I have been to Summit Point and its a nice track to run the 8's on. Here is a short 10 meg .AVI of me on the Summit point track taken from the bridge that goes over the main straight

LINK (will need DIVX )
It's not a great video but you can see what most of the track looks like.

I would like to add that Dave and the whole MDA crew do a great job of running a weekend at the track. Family obligations keep me from the labor day weekend but I would be there if i could. I am already planning a June 06 trip to VIR. Hint hint Dave...

Here is a copy of the track layout I plan on running, yes the banked turn is included. I had to cut down the resolution.

Shenandoah Sept 3-4 event update

Shenandoah Sept 3-4 event update

-- Learn throttle steering, trail braking, heads up eye exercises, and more...
-- The Shenandoah is a great learning track, over 20+ turns packed into 2.2 miles, 4 straights, banked turns, elevation and camber changes, etc.
-- More Quality track time resulting from 1 less run group and fewer students per group
-- On-track activities at speed, approximately 250+ minutes
-- Both Classroom and in-car instruction
-- Wet Skid-Pad exercises
-- MARRS SCCA racing invitation to visit RP Performance on the main circuit
-- Demonstration of the Traqmate GPS accelerometer data acquisition recorder/display unit
-- Two sets of P205/50R15 Hankook Z214 C50 race compound tires available for testing
-- less than 11 spots remain MazdaDriverS.com

Bang for the track buck, it cannot be beat!!

Thanks to all who participated in a fast and safe event. The Shenandoah Circuit is a drivers track that is a hoot to drive at speed. Use of the Skid Pad was also a great learning tool.

Summit Point continues to improve the facility, track and services, so next year should be even better. Dave
