No legitimate dealer is going to reset an odometer. TRU681 05-24-2005, 08:47 PM You can't reset the RX8 odometer! You can have it replaced to start at 0 miles again. My dealership misplaced or dumped my original odometter when I had an electrical problem & installed a new one. They had to mail DMV some paperwork stating that problem. NAVILESRX8 05-24-2005, 09:17 PM The rest of your car still has 21K miles......... VooDoo 05-25-2005, 07:43 AM The rest of your car still has 21K miles......... On The Money... DreRX8 05-25-2005, 07:47 AM Yeah--its illegal unless its followed up with paperwork sent to the DPS (DMV) rotten42 05-25-2005, 09:38 AM Yeah--its illegal unless its followed up with paperwork sent to the DPS (DMV) I had my engine replaced and I didn't have mine reset or replaced. The rest of your car still has the miles so I don't see why it should. Mugatu 05-25-2005, 10:05 AM this is comical! So, everyone in the world that gets their engine replaced should get their odometer set to zero? Shit, remind me at 100k miles to replace my engine, and then sell the car at a premium price for a 2004 RX8 with zero miles in the year 2010. seriously, this is stupid. |
