Frekin ppl wouldnt even let me order accessories...hopefully they will soon though, damnit

Sorry if i seem a bit uhhhhhhhhhhhhh whiny(?) but ive been waiting for this car for like 2 years, and i just want it to be perfect, and i really dont want some dirtbag moron to screw it up. im sure a lot of you feel the same way

Lean on the dealer when you have to, bugging them every 5 seconds isn't going to help.

i dont think any dealers can order accessories yet, other than the sales dept. can get the port added access, if you talk to them before the car gets to the port.
i dont see how a parts person is going to screw up your car....

I haven't asked for anything yet though.

i have ordred some port installed accessories...
front air dam, side and rear aero flares, moonroof wind deflector, polished front and rear rotary accent, and cargo net. they will all be added at port. our parts dept. still does not have info on ordering the other stuff.

My salesman told me that he ordered a 6 for a customer with a wing from the factory. The wing didn't show up with the car, and they couldn't get it for six months after the car had been delivered. I don't think that they want to promise you the moon then fail to deliver. I see the accessory catalog as more of a "see what you can buy some day . . . maybe" kind of thing. I mean most of that stuff isn't listed on the build section of the web-site yet, which makes me think that Mazda just doesn't have it.

Say it isn't so! :eek: The moonroof deflector is plain FUGLY. It detracts big time from the lines of the car... oh well.. to each his own. Please reconsider!! :)

but it makes a huge difference on the noise. my wifes car did not have one, then she bought one and the absence of noise was amazing. if it look real bad ill just take it off.

Totally understand, if the noise is your main concern I hope the deflector does the trick (hey, maybe the noise is not so bad). But it still looks FUGLY, check the pictures, it's hideous! ;)

hmmm, the only pic i saw was the small book from the accessory sheet. if it does look that bad it will be removed, but for $50.00 it is no big deal to see how bad it is.

not quite right. much of it is not listed on the website becaue you can't order it to be put on your car at the factory or the port. they will be dealer installed only(read as "big markup for the dealers"). the items are already in the pipeline on the way to warehouses however there probaly is not much stock yet and the dealers are just starting to receive the invoice pricing and have not decided on the retails yet.

My dealer asked me whether I want any options/accessories last month, but I didn't order anything cuz I have no idea what I want. Then last week I went to another dealer to ask abt the accessories, they told me to contact the parts department on pricing and order information. So I guess the sales department does not take care of that.
Anyway, I'm going to the dealer this weekend and see if I can place an order on the accessories.

our dealer does have the chrome with black lettering and gold with black lettering rx-8 license plate frames in stock. im going to buy the chrome.
