rx8orders@mazdausa.com told me today that they cannot access the VIN system and give me my VIN. Others on this forum have stated that they got their VIN from rx8orders.

Has anyone really gotten a VIN from Mazda vice a dealer?

If so how?...help my dealership is napping.....

 

My dealer went to his computer, and connected to Mazda. From there he was able to give me my VIN #.

Of course I had to go there & ask him to find it for me.

 

Gettingan8, I believe we have the same dealer. Call and talk to Wyatt, he said he is our saleman now. Or talk to Mr. Taylor, sales manager.

Just this morning, I called "rx8orders" and they could verify I was in the pre-order program, but did not have any information on a VIN. As soon as I got off the phone my Mazda dealer left a voicemail that he just had received my VIN.

 

I'm so depressed- rx8orders confirmed I'm a pre-order today, but said my VIN hasn't been assigned. *sigh* I guess no car for me in July

Though she's the only green on my little database that shows 'on water', Pam does have a green on the way. What rx8orders says isn't 'gospel' so to speak. The response I got was the same as someone else already posted - VIN email to go out 3-4 months after factory accept email , and "We unfortunately cannot access
the VIN, you will need to contact your dealership for this
information." I got a copy of my invoice yesterday which was dated and printed 5/23 (invoice date 5/20) - so your dealer may (or may not) have your VIN sitting in a file (or computer) somewhere. I feel pretty confident yours is on the water with the rest of ours[preorders].
