Listen to that launch (nice, eh!). Other highlights include a comparison to the first-gen 7 and Cosmo, laps around a banked track, and a "battle" race against the S2000, Skyline Coupe, 330i M, Fairlady Z ST, Integra Type-R, and WRX (STi?) at Tsukuba.

:D :cool: :eek: I just wish there was a smiley for 'drooling' or 'exasperated with excitement/anticipation'. The RE's rev sounds much deeper in this video than in others I've seen. I've audio clips as well that approximate this, but WOW!

I think the exhaust, at the start of the video, was already hot. Exhausts always sound better when they're all warmed up :cool: I don't think they would drag it like that if that was a cold start. ;)

Racing's more about the driver than the car unless of course... the car racing is subpar to the others.
I don't put much faith into lap times for anything... it's always that seat-of-the-pant feel that you get that you'll really appreciate a car or not.

the wrx is indeed the sti version isn't it? i mean looking at the preview, it's behind the s2000...and when the camera changes to inside the s2000, the wrx is already a car length ahead or so...i dont think a standard wrx can do that...
man, i need to buy the video...it's out here already, only problem is there's no way to put the video on comp....forgive me -_-;

Who ever hosts the video from this issue has to host the segments with the Cosmo 110 and that beautiful lime green Savannah. God those cars are gorgeous!

There is Best Motoring in HK selling at $38 each... it is about $10 Australian or $6 US. Dirt cheap..
The video in VCD .dat file format. If I get my hand to it I can easily change it to mpeg with a simple program.
