One morning I backed up my 8 on the way to work and found that I had a flat tire. I tried to fill it with air hoping it was a slow leak, it was not. So I used the handy dandy can of fix-a-flat. It seemed to work fine until I got about a mile from my house and the nail that had caused the flat shot out of my tire and half a can of fix-a-flat sprayed all over the wheel, wheel well, and rear fender of my 8. Any suggestions on how to take it off? I've tried normal washing and De-Solve-it.

Ouch! Good luck with that. I have no idea what will work. Another good reason to toss out the goo, and get a tire repair kit, instead. I got to try mine on the wife's car - she ran over a screw. 2 weeks later, and no leaks or anything. My kit came in a yellow, hard, plastic case, about half the depth of the EMS kit, and about the same height and width. I have it right next to the EMS kit, and the strap perfectly secures both in the trunk. I also accounted for this when measuring my trunk for luggage. I found one set of luggage that is the perfect fit for the trunk, as long as the biggy isn't expanded....
Now to un-hijack this thread: I don't remember what the directions say, but I'm guessing maybe you should remove any piercings (of the tire) before using the fix-a-flat. Really sorry to hear that.

you can really damage the TPMS sensors (or render them useless) by using the fix-a-flat stuff instead of the mazda repair kit that came with your 8

goodluck getting this crap off...you should take a sample of the fix-a-flat goo and then use different solvents on it till it works...then test it on the car so it doesn't damage it

you may want to test a little bit of break cleaner...I've found it will cut through just about anything (including your fingers...wear gloves!)

I'm sorry I didn't make myself clear, but it was the Mazda goo that came with the car. I've been testing different chemicals on small patches on the wheel. I have not tried brake cleaner though. Thanks for the suggestion.

call mazda...I'm sure they'll have an answer...they may even clean it for free (my dealer would...they are amazing)
