Just a quick question, I was planning on doing some tuning with the cable and software kit (have experience with TEC-II). When I loaded up the newest map for the M flash, I took a look at a bunch of settings and noticed that the rpm scale only went up to 4200, is this normal?

For some reason, the RPM readings of the eManage (CanZoomer) maps only read half of the real RPM. Just a function of the eManage, I guess. So 3000 on the map is 6000 on the car, 3500 is 7000 on the car, etc.

We could have done full RPM, but just using one coil output was easier, so you end up with 1/2 RPM. You are limited in the number of cells you can adjust, and that was the major reason for using 1/2 RPM (full RPM would require using more cells). Maurice tried full RPM for a while, but didn't see any benefit. He was trying to smooth out some of the intake transition points, but found the 1/2 RPM maps worked just as well as full RPM ones.

If you get the Stage 3 you have to go to full RPM (the signal is on the board in the unit, available whenever needed - and it's on the jack on the front of the unit as well). That means anyone who gets Stage 3 will have to take any new map and double the RPM cells - though we will also do this for you. They'd probably be doing their own maps anyway, so it's not really an issue.

It is easy to translate the maps. You just have to start changing the values at the high end and work your way down in RPM (otherwise the unit/software gets upset because you end up with duplicate RPM values or RPM out of sequence).

For those who want to go to full RPM (for whatever reason), it's easy to do - you just move one wire in the unit (sorry - we didn't put in a jumper - you have to unsolder and resolder the wire to a different hole). Then you have to make sure you change the maps.
