yes, but you should wait for the ACT (Advanced Clutch Technology) set as am I. I called them up and they said it should be ready within the next month or so. From what I hear they have an excellent reputation.

If you do a search for light fly wheel, you will turn up alot of results on this site.

I was under the impression that there was a couple of forum members who already had the ACT clutch and flywheel installed.

Those people put together their own combo but ACT has not officially released a flywheel/clutch kit for the 8 yet. ACT is claiming the 8 has an unusual method of balancing (weight is on the back or something like that) and they've been working on getting all the pieces right so they can release a safe and reliable kit.

I'm on their mailing list so hopefully they'll send out a notice soon that their kit is ready.

I got an ACT clutch and flywheel kit from SR Motorsports. The clutch disc was an Exedy brand and the ACT pressure plate was #MZ-010-X. The entire flywheel kit, also from SR, incuded the Mazda counterweight. Since installation I have had only minor issues to contend with. The first was having to re-adjust the clutch pedal. The second is that the clutch is a bit grabby when cold but it gets better when warm and can handle tons of abuse.
