I WAS IN A POV AREA TODAY AND SOME WANKER BACKED INTO MY CAR they scratched one of my lights and dented the front kit a bit
So i am very disapointed
i think i will change my sports kit now or maybe at the end of the year or maybe get the new rx-8 with a sunroof when it comes out

Last time I was in Illinois it was a long way from where "some c@nt spat on my car"

But we feel for you MyRx-8yourcar. (What a mouthfull. How about we just call you Brian to keep it simple.)

Hope the shop can do a nice repair for you!

Cheers,
Hymee.

PS - Would anyone like to submit proposals for a Hymee POV protector kit? (WTF is POV anyway??)

POV = Povo = Poverty Stricken is my guess.

Like when you get the Audi TT without the quattro,
or the RX8 without the leather, or a BMW M3 without
the CSL and other people
say you got the poverty pack.

It's not the sort of language selection expected of Amerigunicans
though, but then neither is 'wanker'.

The first two yes, but the non CSL M3 isn't the poverty pack, its the not nuts pack - in the standard you get powered equipment, a boot not made of cardboard, the rest of the car not made out of plastic, and you save, what is it down there, AU$50000 ? Thats hell of a lot to charge for taking things out to make it a bit quicker.

Heh. Poverty Pack.

Doesn't mean I wouldn't like a Povo M3 sitting in my driveway ...

For those who are not up on their pre 1900's Australian history:

Illinois was the rogue state that was voted out of the Australian commonwealth back in 1869 by a government who were tired of Illinois's higher than usual occurance of rear end horse and cart parking damage incidence!

++dez;

ps: for me, my money's about to be invested in an anti-bird shit technology, such as a 12 guage rear mounted, boy am I sick of comming back to the car when it's parked outiside to find that some low flying duck arsed pidgeon has used my rx8 for target practice with it's weapon of mass destruction!

Hey Dez,
according to the lovely lady who comes to "talk" to you about all the coatings and treatments you can have on your new RX8, just after you've signed on the bottom line...

" you gotta have the protection pack, ya know, bird poop is much more destructive and acidic these days and paint quality isn't as good as it used to be..."

Puke!

Its true, they used to use decent solvent based paint which would take any amount of bird shit, but then the bleedin enviromentalists came along and all the car companies switched to using the paint from kiddies water colouring sets.

Bird shit (especially if its been eating gum leaves or something) can eat through in a couple of hours, even bugs stuck to the front will ruin it - which they specifically mention as a warrentee exclusion.
