Uhhh....where are the cupholders?

Of all of the pictures I have seen of the interior, I have yet to see any front cup holders. I have a 91 RX-7 and the lack of a cupholder is one of my biggest pet peeves. There are a bunch of RX-7 owners on the RX-7 forum that bitch constantly about no cupholder, so hopefully there are some there that I'm just not seeing in the RX-8.

I see the pic of the ones in the back seat, but none in the front.

Anybody know if they are there? If so, where are they?

Under the front and and rear covers on the top of the frame backbone console. I think the two covers slide back.

Yeah, the front storage cover slides back to expose the cupholders. There is a good shot of it here:

Thanks guys. These are probably the few pics I did not see.

I hoped Mazda would not be that stupid and leave them out again.

If the car is an automatic, then that location isn't so bad. But have any of you driven a stick with cups in those locations (especially something from drive-thru)? It's right in the way of your elbow when you want to shift, unless you put the cup in the rearward position, in which case, it's awkard to get at the cup.

But I don't quite have a different location to suggest, so I can't complain too much.
