I bought greddy sp2 and AP midpipe from him for 500USD.
I bought it on Sept 3rd on Thursday.

he said he will send the item out on 3rd and said clearly he will send me the tracking number by 3rd night.

However, he did not send me the tracking number.
It took him FIVE days to reply me.
I knew he logged in on Sept 6th, [looking at your profile] however he did not bother to reply me till 8th.
He logged on 6th, probably read my pm saying i want my tracking number HOWEVER he did not bother to reply me and he replied me on 8th. So i felt sth suspicous.

what i got on 8th is, him saying that item was sent out and the tracking number is in his car and he will go to his car in his lunch break and send it to me.

HOWEVER, till now, i don't have his reply or my tracking number.

this person does not have any RESPONSIBILITY
this person is a seriously BAD PERSON, if he scammed me.

I'm still waiting for his reply not knowing what to do.

I actually just filed a Paypal Resolution with him too. I paid him a few weeks ago, he said he shipped two subs and an amp for $100+shipping (should have known it was too good to be true)...after nagging him for two weeks for a tracking number I told him he had until this weekend to send one.

He never got it, it went to resolution center this morning.

Maybe he thought I wouldn't try and get my money back?

Just open up a claim now -- You can talk to him through paypal and if he doesn't respond then you can turn it over to paypal and they will contact him for you and if he doesnt provide the info and tracking then they send you the money back. Just open up the dispute now and they will lock the money in his account and that will get his attention to talk to you.

Trust me i have done this a lot.

ALSO, DO NOT CANCEL THE CLAIM UNTIL YOU GET THE ITEM!
People always say they shipped the item with a tracking number with a box and brick inside it --

i had talked to him on the 6th or around then about the same exhaust he told me he would do 350 shipped for just the exhaust so i send money via pay pal on the 8th and have not herd back from him yet about this! wish i would have seen this prior

Paypal is not a sure bet you will get your money back. It happened to me years ago and the guy didn't have the money in his account so I had to take matters into my own hands.

Yeah Luckily it didn't come to that and I was actually paid more than was taken by the dudes father. But I was getting my money one way or another ( I was young and broke and I had been saving that money for 6 months).

5 seconds on one of this threads and you would've found out for yourself.
Always get names and working phone numbers before you send money.
The ONLY thing good about this situation is that you used PayPal.
From now on, do some research about the person selling you parts.
Type their name into the thread search tool and read up.
Get their phone number and CALL them - people are much less likely to flake that way.
And YES, find everyone who has ever been screwed by him and file charges for INTERNET FRAUD.

Hopefully the people out of pocket paid using a credit card. If you did then file a dispute with your credit card and they'll run a chargeback.

Just tell them you never approved that charge and they will cancel it and refund your money; at least thats what I did last year when i was scammed.

i thought about that however i transferred money from my bank account to visa right before i sent the money to him. i don't think they will trust me on that since i moved the money myself and spent it right away.

It's kinda bunk that PayPal can't really guarantee full protection against fraud. I'm sure it's listed in their fine print somewhere that this is how it works (i.e. you can only get your money back if it's still in the other party's account), but who in their right mind will keep money in their account if they've just scammed someone?

Paypal is not a perfect system by any means. My friend got double refunded somehow for something that was around $2k. They still haven't contacted him and it's been a few months.

bro there is no need to push criminal charges, open the dispute with paypal, they will send him a bunch of threatening messages, if he doesnt comply within a certain amount of time u get ur money back and he loses access to paypal which will really screw him up since his credit cards are linked to it and he wont be able to open another account without deleting them from paypal.

SO dont sweat it.... if it doesnt work out all u lose is a little time but if it does so u waited a little longer then expected and still got ur item :) OH and if he doesn pay the rest of the money within a certain amount of time then hes really stuck cuz they send it out to collection

Good luck. If you were in the US you could turn this over to the FBI. There is a website that handles this sort of crime in the US. It's http://www.IC3.gov (http://www.IC3.gov). If anybody ever finds themselves being defrauded over the Internet then contact this web site. It is a federal crime.

Sorry, to hear about your problem being a fellow canuck, if it's the same guy and I'm sure it is. Ran into to him on a few post, he's a condescending PR generally trying to start a fight. Sorry to say but you should of done more research on the person, from my experience people like him are better just to avoided. Buy anything online sure has it's up and down, but keep the faith most ppl's on the club seem fair and not out to scam anyone (generally a good bunch). Hope paypal gives you a full refund!

I just called my bank and PayPal.

My bank said I can file a complaint and get my money back from PayPal, but PayPal may file a grievance against me.

So I called PayPal and talked to their security team and the guy said "If you have the option of something like that, go ahead and do it" He also said "our collection team is going after him right now"

So I'll be filing my paperwork to dispute that transaction within a couple days, and hopefully have my money back in the next few weeks.

Good to note: I didn't pay with a credit card, it went through as an eft, but my bank will treat it the same way. (they asked if I had any other disputes, which I don't, but it makes me think there is a limit on how many you can do).

Looks like we'll all come out on top of this one.

the moral of this story is always, Always, ALWAYS use your CC on Paypal. This is why they try to steer you back to using your bank account instead, to cover their own @ss because in the end they don't care about yours.
