i want to take the clear coat off of my wheels due to it chipping super bad. I want to paint them as well, anyone have any idea of a stripper or something that will eat away the clear coat? or any other ideas beside scuffing up the clear coat and painting, like i said they are chipping bad so i want a smooth finish to paint..

use acetone if that doesnt work sand it with a low grit sandpaper that should work

step 1...Paint Thiner
step 2...Acetone
step 3...Clean it with wheel cleaner

buddy of mine did it to his Nissan 350Z

did this strip the clear and the paint both? if so that would be great, i am going to paint the wheels black hope it looks good, should i paint the inside and the outside all solid or just the face? if i do the back then i will need to have them balanced again...

dont worry about the back they get dirty and look black anyway so just do the face IMO
