Im down to these two 8's right now. the first on is local, 26k miles, 05 shinka edition. Biggest drawback for me is the color, BCM aka, "Dark Purple". other than that, i dont have to travel, all recall work done.

this one is in TX, has 61k miles, 04, engine replaced by dealer when last recall check was done. new engine only has 3k miles, and i do like the way the car looks, and it has intake + exhaust. being that far away makes the purchase more difficult, though not deal breaking.

At their listed prices on the threads which one is a better deal, (not to say i dont have a lower offer, but since they are advertising here, just go by what is showed) Whatever i buy will be autocrossed and be a daily driver. yes i like the "Show" mods of the second vehicle, although an opinion of someone who has seen it in person would be nice. Anything else i should look out for? Or any other cars you may have seen around 15?

Thank you for your time,
-Kevin

I like Shinka better.
But that's just me.

I think you could get a better price on an '04. I know it has some mods already but...

I would go with the newer one.

I'd get the shinka. you'll get over the color. shinkas are just nicer inside, and thats a big diff in miles

I'd hold off on buying if you're not absolutely set to buy this instance.

Don't settle for colors, get a color you truly want.

The 04 has 61,000 miles on every part in the car except the engine and engine components, and is selling for 16.5 K? Don't let the mods suck you in, cars with aftermarket parts should always be lower in value, period.

Unless that car's mods include everything you've ever wanted on a rx8, then I suppose it'd be worth paying over KBB value. Otherwise, never pay above KBB for "modded" cars.

And keep in mind, KBB is generous on evaluating a car's worth.

Just my 2 cents.
