Nothing happens when I turn the key...dead..no crank over....battery? bad battery?... no lights were left on. called 1800 servcie and they are sending someone out for a jump...not sure I need a jump? Any suggestions would be appreciated. has anyone had this happen?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Alarm, kill switch, fuse....mmmm.....the battery should be TOTALLY drained for the engine not to crank. My best bet (it happened to me with a Rav4) the alarm's engine kill switch somehow became active.

I deserve a beer!!...be back, Im going to self-celebrate my success as a car 'guru'!!! :D

Note: as I said, I went though the same thing. Although, I didn't have the alarm control (lost years before) and I had to remove the entire alarm system completely.

I think the battery is OK. However, the kill switch cuts ALL power to the engine and electronic componentry....it's part of the standard theft deterrant equipment. No fancy alarm involved.
