Did anybody notice this problem. I can't see in my trunk at night, Im going to install a additional light or something. The spare tire kit blocks the trunk light!

Yes - months ago! A forum search for 'spare trunk light' turns up a bunch of threads, like this one (http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=14055&highlight=spare+trunk+light) !! :)

Not only blocks the light, but blocks the access thru the rear seat and gobbles up half the trunk. After removing the spare about 3 days after getting the car, I finally sold it. I'll just takes my chances.

Yeah it's kinda dumb; I'm guessing the spare tire was an afterthought in the design process. It would be nice to see it fixed for 2005. A minor annoyance though. Gives a good reason to tinker :)

I did not mean any bad by it.

All I have is the little one. I WISH I had a larger one as well.

BTW - I TOTALLY agree with the trunk light. I am about ready to yank the whole thing out. It eats up way too much trunk space.
