use the front and rear ports for a divided turbo manifold like previous rotaries and use the center port just for the wastegate?
what do you think? too much restriction until the wastegate opens?

Interesting idea - what advantage do you see ?
thinking about it some more - it won't work .

That would be a huge restriction to the exhaust unless the wastegate was open.....won't work

well, the center exhaust port is significantly smaller than the other two so at low rpm and load it shouldn't be of much impact to performance except maybe increasing velocity at the other ports (good for spooling)
then, having a divided manifold could be good for better spooling a turbo with a divided exhaust housing and when the center port wastegate opens it controls boost without disrupting the main flow to the turbo...

at maximum rpm and boost you are going to be significantly restricting the exhaust - wont work .

It's still not redirecting flow away from the turbo, that's how a wastegate controls boost. If the wastegate is shut, the exhaust will just exit out of the other port.
It's like putting a wastegate on a single exhaust valve of a dual exhaust valve piston motor. Won't work.
