Hi all,

I tried searching for power loss + DSC, but couldn't find anything. So last night I was driving home for 20 minutes on the freeway (ambient temps around 60), and I had power loss above 3000 rpm. The whole time, the DSC light was flashing. After 2 minutes, it was back to normal. Today, the same thing happened after I drove the car on the freeway for 30 minutes, and then a few redlines after that.

Is it possible that it's a clogged cat? I have the RP high flow cat and I got a permanent CEL about 2 months ago after I got the RB street flash. Then I went to the track last month in 100 degree ambient temps and my engine was overheating half the time. I'm hoping that it's just the cat that melted. Do you guys think it might be the engine or something else?

if your dsc light is flashing, it has nothing to do with the the cat or the engine..

Any idea what it could be? It was pretty severe power loss. I could only maintain speed no matter what gear I was in.

DSC and power loss will kick in with even a small tire pressure differential.

Check to see which of your rear tires has a nail in it.

i had this problem before. are u running on 4AT Type E? i think the car switched to safe mode because it detected a problem.

all my mechanic do is pull out the battery, reset and everything went back ok.

we never knew whats wrong. its wise to check it with a diagnosis.

i got my cat clok after a few months and blew my engine.

It turned out to be a bad coil. I had the dealer replace it. Thanks for the input guys!
