Have you seen what the supra and lambo are making now! 500rwhp is old school now, hell my fd had 624rwhp. It's now time to step up to compete with these cars, I'm taking this car out to the supra meet next yr and give those cars a run.

 

Oh yeah? Tell me what "racecar" that races in a professional series actually has over 1000whp...

And no i'm not talking about drag racing.

 

some people shoot for high horsepower just because they want to. not everyone races in a circuit some do it in a straight line. racing is racing though. technically a drag race car is a race car... jussayin



I know a lot of us dont want to see an rx8 drag racing because it wasn't designed for it but to each his own.

1,000HP would be useful in the Texas mile. Is that racing?

Totally stupid to have a 1,000HP on the street though or in most track racing situations. Even the 900-1,000HP street driven Supras are mostly dyno queens. I used to be huge into drag racing with previous cars (Z28, Turbo Civic, WRX, SC Maxima) and I have seen Supras with 900HP run mid 11's :/
