That way caravans from CA, AZ, OR, WA, UT, and TX can all be in one spot.

All states who are driving in a group are more then welcome to post there and add their meet up information / driving route so others can quickly access it if they decide to join up.

Also, if you are driving out with us in the morning (SoCal), let me know and I'll add your names down so we know who to expect that morning.

 

Date of the meet: June 18th and 19th, 2010

Friday evening gathering: a general meet at the In & Out Burgers on West Sahara parking lot on West Sahara for introductions, freebies and offerings.If freebies are available, they will only be available as one to each car registered on this forum posting.

Friday evening party: When we leave the In & Out Burger, we will caravan to Las Vegas Mini Gran Prix (outdoor track). The cost is $19.95 and includes two slices of pizza a pitcher of soda for every 4 people and 90 minutes yup 1 and 1/2 hours of track time!! Also, there will be a no host bar (across the street from the kart track) at Boomerangs restaurant bar.

Saturday drive meet point: In & Out Burgers on West Sahara 10:00am We will meet at the In & Out Burger parking lot on West Sahara for a drive in the Las Vegas area. The drive is about two and one half hours in length, will cover 125 miles and will end at the Fiesta Hotel & Casino on Rancho Road for lunch. The top floor of the parking garage will be set aside for our parking use and is supposed to be roped off and have a guard. After lunch we will have a raffle for several items donated by vendors. There will be a several hour break for rest, recreation and sight seeing. The party group (all that wish to attend) will meet at the Hoffbrauhaus for beer, food and friendship from 7pm until ?

Saturday evening party: Hoffbrauhaus , Las Vegas, 7:00pm (no host) (be advised that parking is terrible at this corner) This is just a get together place, some may want to sight see or go to a show. Feel free to do as you wish. It's Vegas Baby!!!!


This years drive will be close in to Las Vegas and will be on all paved roads (unless the state or county do their thing again this year), some narrow roads and some twisty roads and some freeway. There will be vehicles within the group to offer assistance if you are in need.

The weather will again this year be very warm but not blazing hot (yet). Be sure you carry drinking water, a hat, vehicle water and oil. All places that we get together will be at places that have food so those that are still under drinking age will be welcome.

Vegas 8's and Sin City Rotary will be offering a T shirt/beer mug combination remembrance for sale at the meet. Try and save $20.00 to purchase one of the remembrance combinations. The beer mugs are complete and ready. A final printing pic of the Ts is some where else with in this post. In short the T have a printing of the advertising pic and the mugs will have a print of a design made up by the designer of the main pic. I will post pics of them soon. The sets will be in limited amount of 70 sets and available on the Friday evening meet. There will be extra T shirts available beyond the first set limitation
To insure proper sizing available for each of you, a note stating your T shirts size would be nice.

In addition some specialty vendors have donated some items for a raffle NGK donated some spark plugs for the 7s and 8s, Maguires is donating some car care products to be bundled for a raffle try, Black Halo Racing has donated a $250.00 gift certificate, there will be a limited few of the art work posters in the raffle, Pettit Racing has donated several items for both the 7s and the 8s. We are still in negotiations with several other vendors for some additional raffle items.

I have heard a rumor that the beer training that Jedi was in, failed and that he will have to go "dry" for this meet

So, 7:00 PM at In-n-Out. What time at the GoCart track?

 

I am sure I know this answer but others did the final negoiations so I had better check to be sure I am right.....Stay tuned and I'll get you an
answer.

I would say it started at 8:00 on the karts. We hope everyone get to In & Out with enough time to get a count and phone ahead......They want to get an Idea of how many employees to hang onto.

All must come to the start and sign in and pick up your name tag.

The Karts only start at 8pm. This is supposed to be a fun weekend no real rushing but being on time is very helpful. Attendees that arrive on time or early can go to the kart tracks at 8 but those that arrive late can get there as they wish. Those that are too late or just don't want to drive the karts can go to Boomerangs across the street from the tracks. There is also a Chilis and a Macaroni Grill within sight of the Kart track if your hungry

Actually there will be SCR & Vegas 8 peeps at the start earlier (6pm) and any that are running early are welcome to come by.

 

Sounds like those of us who would rather have In N Out for dinner than pizza at the track or go to the other restaurants near the track should get there around 6:30.

 

I'll probably be rolling into Vegas around 9:30, so I'll check in and see where everyone is at that point.

 

Would be nice to know when each person will show up but that's impossible so we are leaving it open for food.....as Urban Ocho put it, eat before you come by the start, eat at In & Out, eat pizza at the track or go to one of the restaurants near the track.

MM coming so early ........he must have other fish to fry. We don't expect that most of you will arrive before noon. This will give you time to check in an relax. Our freeway load starts about 2pm on Friday so getting here before then makes it easy.
