When you get registered at the Orleans or alternate location, PM me your confirmation number and I will put you on the list. So far there are only four cars registered. I would think that after the first of the year it should be busy with the registrations.

Phil, just looked at the 1st post and I like the idea of only listing people who are registered and have reservations as it'll give us a FAR MORE accurate description of actual attendance as opposed to year's past where everyone signed up and many never bothered to show.

13x: I figure anyone who isn't staying at the Orleans can just PM Phil once they've booked their rooms and we can add them to the list.
Although, it really doesn't make too much sense to stay elsewhere given the prices we have at the Orleans and the fact that it's where the P A R T Y will be.

true true but seems like everyone has a friend or family in Vegas, I think someone was staying at a private penthouse as well. eh we can just get it as accurate as possiable

We make no money on this event other than to recoup our outlay. So the only way we have a chance of recouping our $ is thru the Swag for sale and the raffle. There are minimums that we have to guarantee for some of the things we do and if we don't meet the minimum still have a small fee to pay. So those that do not attend after they have committed can and does cost us $.
Locals not staying at the Orleans will have to confirm by purchasing swag and sending me or 13x a pm confirming their attendance.
Those attending from other locations and not staying at the Orleans will need to PM me or 13x where they are staying (friends house, city park, homeless shelter) and at least purchase a T shirt.
Not being on the list does not mean you can't come. You are still welcome to come. But telling us you will come and then not show or cancel at the last minute is a problem so only those that verify will be listed.
Obviously we had to guarantee a certain amount of rooms to get a good rate at the Orleans.
I hope this does not sound like we are in business to sell Ts but the little profit we see goes to pay for the things that you do not see. The members of Sin City Rotary and Vegas 8s see this as a labor of love of a party and the car.
Now, circumstances change, some of the best laid plans do not work so what we ask for now could change. If you have comment, please post it.

Wellll if anyone missed out last year or would like a New WHiV 3, 2009 T shirt they are still available on the site and payment can be made via paypal. As Phil said this is not a money making venture but any of these that move out would help the cause

I second what Phil said, basically we need the head count to assure we are properly prepared. This also is a gauge for the funds that will need to be laid out.
While WHiV is discussed here it is also elsewhere among the rotary community so the communication from those planning to attend is very important as our goal is for everyone to have a blast, from mild to wild and continue to join us for future WHiV's, where we all get to enjoy the cars we cherish and the good people we have meet who are more then just acquaintances but more like friends and family

Phil: awesome post!
I think many people forget how much goes into planning something as large as this and often times the meet organizers get stuck holding the bill for goods purchased in advance for those attending (who then end up not showing)
I'm looking forward to another successful WhiV meet, it should be tons of fun and I'm sure once we get closer to the date, the reservations will start POURING in.
