yup, that was a pretty new Toyo T1R
now I need to replace it since that can't be patched

too bad the T1R is discontinued in that size so now I need two tires.

Damm nail in the shoulder sucks Jorge. I had to replace an almost new tire on the chrysler a month ago because of the same thing.

I thought you had Verdestiens ?

Were getting close.

I contacted Toyo a little over a year ago when I couldn't find any T1R's locally and figured something was up.
Apparently they still make the tire but only in certain (very limited) sizes.
They're pushing their new T1 Sport tire as a replacement.

Yea, tire in the shoulder sucks because there isn't really much you can do with it other then replace it.

I started running Vredestine tires in the back last year when I replaced the Toyos so now I guess it's time to complete the set.
If I buy only one tire, my OCD will kick in and it'll drive me insane that they don't all match.

Well, there goes $500.

it's really crazy because all my life I've had amazing luck with tires. Almost never had flats, never gotten nails, but the last 2 years have been the opposite.
This makes all 4 tires on the 8 in that time and all of them were still what I would consider as 'new'

oh well, I guess it's better that I found that nail yesterday and not while doing 95 mph inbound to Vegas because that would not have ended well.

Very true that could have potentially been bad. At least now you'll have four matching tires, not that that helps at all. Still sorry to hear about the nail glad nothing bad happened while you were driving.

thanks man.
At the end of the day, this is the lesser of all evils compared to being stranded on the way to Vegas or having a blow out at high speeds.
No worries, this isn't a trip to the tire shop and a few beers can't fix.

We gonna see you out in Vegas in a few weeks?

Damn I know that feeling. This happened to me about three weeks ago with the same tires. I was not able to find T1r's in the size I needed either. Luckily the guys at Americas Tire by my house gave me a great deal on Falken 452's that I couldn't refuse.

I hate road nails/screws/bolts.

I had a tire blowout in my 1st-year Fiero (long ago, in galaxy far away) doing 90 mph (don't ask me how long it took to get there hehe) --- that was exciting since I was going around a bend when that happened.

Well, it came down to the wire but unfortunately I won't be making it to Vegas this year.

My grandparents are not doing to well so I'll be making a trip back to Indiana in the next month or two so sadly I've got to sacrifice this trip.

I hope everyone has a great time and with any luck I'll see many of you at Sevenstock this year!
