CA 2005 RX8 - New Mazda Factory Rebuilt Engine!

Selling our 2005 RX-8 with a brand new Mazda factory rebuilt engine. 114k miles on the car but only 3k miles on the motor. Six-speed manual transmission. This car has had a ton of work done on it to make it completely reliable and trouble-free. Here's what we've done:

* Brand new Mazda factory rebuilt engine - just broken in with around 3k miles;
* New coil packs, wires and plugs;
* New starter;
* New coolant lines/hoses;
* New oil injector lines and injectors;
* New vacuum hoses;
* New clutch;
* New vacuum solenoid trio;
* New converter;
* All new sensors (ESS, MAF, CTS, O2);
* New fuel pump;
* Air bag recall completed.

This was my son's car for the past two years until it wouldn't start any longer due to low compression. We are car enthusiasts and decided that this one was much too nice to part out or junk, so we bought a factory rebuilt engine from Mazda and swapped it in. We also decided to check and replace everything along the way to make it safe and reliable using all OEM quality parts. The motor runs perfectly and everything works as it should. The upper and lower intake manifolds were fully disassembled and cleaned when the new engine was installed and all of the intake valves and port mechanisms are working perfectly. This car runs like new. We also replaced the clutch and changed the transmission and differential fluids with RedLine products. Tires, brakes and suspension are all in good working order.

The body is in great shape with no major dents - just a couple of small paint blemishes and very small dings. It is very presentable and looks great. The interior is also very nice, except the drivers seat shows some wear and the dash cover over the passenger air bag is cracked. We installed a Metra in-dash receiver kit along with a nice Pioneer radio. We also fixed the common problems associated with the climate controls - it now has reliable heat and cold A/C on demand.

Yakima cross bars and clips included at the asking price (but the bike carrier is not).

We love the car but it does not fit our needs right now since my son has gone off to college and needs something bigger. Located in San Diego, CA. Asking $6,500.
